Mia Mackie is an actor, who has appeared on stage and screen.

Most recently, during the constraints of Lockdown 2020, Mia wrote, produced and acted in the film, Reconnected, which explores elderly isolation and stars The Bill‘s, Eric Richard.

Mia grew up in the East of England and is half Londoner, half Liverpudlian. Mia spent much of her spare time in her younger years performing in school and local theatre productions. 

After leaving school, Mia spent time working with organisations responding to social issues in the UK, and then went on to study Criminal Justice, Psychology & Social Policy at The London School of Economics. During her degree, Mia attended lessons with acting coach, Giles Forman, and was encouraged to apply to drama school to train as an actor. She was granted a place at Drama Centre, a prestigious London based ‘method’ school.

Since graduating, Mia has appeared on television in the UK and internationally (including Law & Order UK – ITV and BBC America, Holby City – BBC One, and a guest role in Rosamund Pilcher – Germany). Other credits include performances at The Riverside Studios, Menier Chocolate Factory, Theatre503 and the Royal Opera House. 

Alongside theatrical work, Mia is a therapeutic practitioner using the creative arts, and has travelled extensively as a freelance mentor, tutor and writer.
